Sebastian Groh is a United Nations Climate Change COP Impact Maker and the Managing Director and Founder of SOLshare, a green utility company based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Under his leadership, SOLshare developed the world’s first peer-to-peer solar energy exchange, winning global recognition as the World’s Best Energy Startup (Free Electrons, 2018) and Earthshot Prize Finalist (2021). A PhD graduate from Aalborg University/TU Berlin, Sebastian has published widely on decentralized electrification and energy poverty. He also serves as a Professor at BRAC University and has been recognized as a WEF Tech Pioneer and Ashoka Fellow.
