Gilberto Pichetto Fratin

Gilberto Pichetto Fratin has served as Italy’s Minister of the Environment and Energy Security since October 2022. He brings long-standing political experience across local, regional and national institutions, including prior responsibilities in economic and industrial policy. In his current role, he oversees Italy’s environmental agenda, the national energy transition, and the country’s broader energy-security strategy.
