Wil Burns

Dr. Wil Burns serves as the Associate Director of the Environmental Policy & Culture Program at Northwestern University and Co-Director of the Institute for Responsible Carbon Removal at American University. Wil has held several teaching positions in renowned universities including the Johns Hopkins University, where he headed up the Energy Policy & Climate program, the University of California-Berkeley, Stanford University and the University of Chicago. His primary research focus is on carbon dioxide removal approaches to combat climate change, as well as the loss and damage provisions of the Paris Agreement.
