The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has emphasized that meeting the Paris Agreement’s temperature objectives will require both highly aggressive measures to decarbonize the global economy as well as large-scale initiatives to remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. One approach to scaling up the carbon removal industry is Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR), which may be counterintuitive and contentious, but can also play a significant role in decreasing carbon emissions.
