Richard Kachungu is a United Nations Climate Change COP Impact Maker and the Executive Director at Young Emerging Farmers Initiative (YEFI), a non-profit focused on empowering youth in Zambia to adopt sustainable farming practices. Under his leadership, YEFI has trained over 1,000 young farmers and has significantly contributed to food sovereignty and forest conservation. He is also a Max Thabiso Edkins Climate Ambassador and Obama Foundation Leader. Richard holds a degree in Economics from The University of Zambia.
