Larkin Cleland is a Researcher on the Heavy Industry Program at Global Energy Monitor, focused on carbon emissions research in iron and steel, cement and concrete, and chemicals manufacturing across Arabic- and Persian-speaking countries. She is also a freelance journalist and a Fulbright Scholar with the Hungarian American Fulbright Committee. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Islamic Studies, Arabic, and Geography from The Ohio State University.
