Mark Friedl

Mark Friedl is Senior Advisor at Chloris Geospatial and Professor of Earth and Environment at Boston University, where he leads the Land Cover and Surface Climate group. He is an environmental scientist specialising in biophysical remote sensing of terrestrial ecosystems, with a focus on how land cover and surface processes influence climate and the global biosphere. He has served on multiple NASA science teams, including MODIS, VIIRS, and Landsat, and contributes to advancing data-driven approaches for nature and climate analysis.
