Donald Butler

Donald Butler is a professor at the Australian National University and an ecologist and biogeographer focused on evidence-based approaches to landscape management and biodiversity conservation. He previously held senior roles in the Queensland Government, where he led the ecosystem survey and mapping team at the Queensland Herbarium and served as the inaugural Chief Scientist of the Land Restoration Fund, developing its co-benefit verification standard and helping establish Accounting for Nature.
