Djoomart Otorbaev is a Former Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic and an economist, physicist, and author focusing on economic development and Eurasian geopolitics. He previously served as Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan and as a Senior Advisor at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, a multilateral development bank supporting market economies. Earlier in his career, he was Chief Executive Officer of Philips’ representative office in Kyrgyzstan. Otorbaev is the author of Central Asia's Economic Rebirth in the Shadow of the New Great Game.
