Miguel A. Torres

Miguel A. Torres is a United Nations Climate Change COP Impact Maker and the President of Familia Torres, a family-owned winery with over 150 years of heritage. A fourth-generation winemaker, he took over as president in 1991 and has led the company’s climate action efforts since 2008. Miguel co-founded International Wineries for Climate Action (IWCA) in 2019, an alliance dedicated to decarbonizing the wine industry. His leadership has resulted in reducing CO₂ emissions by 37% per bottle and achieving 55% energy self-consumption through renewable energy.
