Kareff Rafisura is an Economic Affairs Officer at the United Nations ESCAP, focusing on space applications for sustainable development. She has over 15 years of experience in climate change, disaster resilience, and environmental sustainability, with previous roles at UNDP in Myanmar, Ghana, and Nepal. Kareff holds a Master’s degree in Earth and Environmental Sciences (Climate and Society) from Columbia University, where she was a recipient of a full scholarship from the Earth Institute and interned at the International Research Institute for Climate and Society.
