Nature-based solutions spending needs to rise four-fold. Here's how the G20 can lead by example
The G20 countries invested $120 billion in nature-based solutions in 2020, according to the State of Finance for Nature in G20 report. But future global investment needs to increase four-fold by 2050, equalling a yearly total of more than $536 billion to meet net zero targets. As G20 countries' investments account for about 40% of this total, they need to provide an extra $165 billion by 2050.
