About Futur/io and the methodology applied

The Futur/io Institute, the independent curator of this list, is a leading European think-tank and organisation dedicated to shaping a future where sustainability, technology, and innovation are at the core of global progress. Futur/io works with organisations like illuminem, the UNFCCC and corporates in leadership training and organises Executive Programmes to inspire future leaders in sustainable innovation.

The Top 20 names for the CSO Awards Europe were selected from a Top 100 list compiled by Futur/io using an extensive database including all the major European companies. The selection process used a four-quadrant model developed with academic and knowledge partners, considering corporate behaviours, ESG and SDG performance, environmental and human impact, and a self-assessment survey.

The nine members of the Grand Jury, led by illuminem voice and Club of Rome Co-President Sandrine Dixson-Declève, will add the human factor to the selection process, using their expertise to choose the final winners, who will be announced at a gala ceremony on January 20, 2025, in Davos, Switzerland, during the World Economic Forum week.
