Simon Mabon

Simon Mabon is Professor of International Relations at Lancaster University and Director of SEPAD (Sectarianism, Proxies and De-Sectarianization Project), funded by the Carnegie Corporation. His research focuses on Middle East politics, international political theory, and the contestation of sectarian identities, particularly in the context of the Saudi-Iranian rivalry. He explores the dynamics of sovereignty, space, and de-sectarianization across the region.
